We sat down with Summer Reese, the creator behind the brand to learn more about her journey, what makes her products stand out, and why bath bombs have become her bestsellers.

Tell us a little about your business. How did it all begin?

My journey into soap making started after I moved from sunny Las Vegas to rainy Vancouver. I was searching for a creative indoor outlet and stumbled upon a soap-making class. I was instantly hooked! From there, I spent the next year refining my techniques and learning how to make bath bombs as well. Eventually, my passion turned into a business, and I started selling my products at local craft markets. Over time, Inspiration Soap Co. shifted its focus to wholesale, and now I supply unique, handcrafted bath products to small shops and boutiques across North America.

What makes your products unique?

Everything at Inspiration Soap Co. is made in small batches in my studio in Langley, BC to ensure quality and attention to detail. I use only high-quality ingredients, including nourishing plant-based oils, cosmetic-grade colorants, and premium fragrances. My style is whimsical, colourful, and fun—I love creating products that make people smile!

My signature handmade soaps feature intricate piped tops and fun embeds, making each bar feel like a little piece of art. My bath bombs are especially popular because they come in imaginative shapes like animals, mermaid tails, unicorn horns, and beloved cartoon characters. Each one is carefully airbrushed and hand-painted, transforming bath time into a truly magical experience.

Bath bombs have become your best selling product—why do you think people love them so much?

Bath bombs are a perfect combination of self-care, fun, and artistry. They don’t just look beautiful—they create an immersive experience. When dropped in the water, they fizz and foam, releasing vibrant colours and luxurious fragrances that turn an ordinary bath into a spa-like retreat.

I think people also love the variety. My bath bombs come in so many different shapes and designs that there’s something for everyone. They make great gifts, and customers love collecting them or choosing one that matches their mood. Plus, I use skin-loving ingredients, so they’re not only fun but also leave the skin feeling soft and hydrated.

Do you have a personal favourite product right now?

Yes! Right now, I’m obsessed with my Kaleidoscope Soaps. A friend and customer encouraged me to try making Kaleidoscope soaps, and I’ve had so much fun with them. Each slice reveals a completely unique design, making every bar a one-of-a-kind piece of art. I love the surprise element—no two are ever the same!

What do you love most about running your business?

I love the creativity and the ability to bring joy to people through my products. Seeing customers get excited about my designs or hearing how my bath bombs made their day a little more special is incredibly rewarding. I also enjoy the process of constantly learning and experimenting with new techniques. There’s always something new to create, and that keeps things exciting!
